Volatile Fragment is a Combat Tarstone in Mortal Shell 2, and it slots into a sidearm. Eight sidearms accept it. It levels to 4 at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep, once Franz has the Etching Needles. Dropped by Vrannic the Grand Illusionist in the Hall of Illusions.
Effect
Enemies killed at range explode for up to 35 splash damage, so a crowd starts clearing itself.
