Forgotten Crossbow is one of eight sidearms in Mortal Shell 2, the offhand slot that fires on Resolve rather than ammunition. It accepts 22 Tarstones, nine of which go in every sidearm in the game — so thirteen of them are what separate it from the other seven. Chapel inside the Flooded Village dungeon.

Effect
A plain, accurate bolt-thrower with no gimmick attached, which makes it the easiest sidearm to aim under pressure.
Our take
The most conventional option and the easiest to use well: a calibrated crossbow in the chapel at the end of the Flooded Village, with no gimmick to learn around it.
