Tarstone compatibility
Which stone goes in which weapon and which sidearm. Pick one to see only its list, or read a grid to see where two pieces of gear actually differ.
Two pools, barely overlapping
The melee and ranged slots draw on separate collections: 38 Tarstones are named by at least one primary and 35 by at least one sidearm, and exactly one appears on both. A stone you found for your weapon is almost never any help to your sidearm.
Within each pool, much of the grid is not a decision. 14 of the 38 go in all 8 weapons, leaving 24 that separate one from another. 9 of the 35 go in all 8 sidearms, leaving 26 that separate one from another. The Only what differs toggle strips each chart down to those.
The game states this one piece of gear at a time. Here it is collected, and readable from the stone's side as well as the gear's.

These say which slot they go in but appear on no weapon or sidearm's compatibility list — so where they actually fit is not documented yet. Treat the tables above as what is confirmed, not as the whole set.
