Stage Wall Troubleshooting Guide
A focused guide for solving common progression walls, including elemental resistance checks, 2-8/2-9, 3-5/3-6, backline enemies, and damage color hints.
Goal
Use this guide when your team reaches a stage wall. Most walls are not solved by one generic upgrade. You need to identify what is killing the run.
Wall Diagnosis

| Symptom | Likely problem | First check |
|---|---|---|
| Knight dies quickly | Damage type or missing tank stats | Resistance, Max HP, Damage Reduction, Block. |
| Team slowly loses HP | Sustain is too low | Priest heal, cooldown, skill heal, double-heal setup. |
| Fights take too long | Carry damage is too low | Ranger damage, attack speed, projectile damage. |
| Backline enemies kill you | Target access problem | Piercing or backline-reaching skills. |
| Armor does not help | Elemental or chaos damage | Relevant resistance and HP. |
Resistance Cap Rule
Elemental Resistance can cap at 75%. The exact amount of stat investment needed depends on difficulty penalties and gear rolls. Add resistance until the relevant stage resistance is capped, then move points into other defenses.
Do not overcap resistance if the extra points give no value.
Enemy Damage Color Hints
Enemy attack colors can help identify damage type, but they are not perfect proof.
| Color hint | Possible damage type |
|---|---|
| Red or orange | Fire |
| Blue | Cold or Ice |
| Yellow | Lightning |
| Purple or dark effects | Chaos |
Use color as a starting point, then test the resistance in the stage.
2-8 And 2-9 Wall
Stages 2-8 and 2-9 are common early walls because incoming damage can include Chaos and Fire pressure. If your level seems high enough but Knight still collapses, the problem may be resistance, not DPS.
Fix order:
Do not force more Ranger damage if the team dies before damage can matter.
3-5 And 3-6 Wall
The dangerous part of 3-5/3-6 style walls is often ranged backline pressure. Backline enemies can hit through the frontline situation and burst your tank before your team clears the wave.
The solution is to kill priority backline targets quickly.
If using Ranger:
If Ranger can reach the damage threshold without Blessing of Might, Priest can run more healing support instead. That can keep Knight alive longer.
Tank Adjustment Rules
When Knight is the wall:
Knight works best as a durable frontline that still contributes, not as a pure wall that ignores all other team needs.

Push And Farm Decision
If a wall takes too much manual attention, treat it as a push stage only. Clear it for progress, then return to a stable farm stage for EXP, gold, chests, and gear.
Push stage: unlocks progression
Farm stage: creates repeatable account valueDo not idle on a wall if it is inefficient.
