Cube Upgrades & Item Economics Guide
Master equipment synthesis, recycle gear with alchemy, socket decoration gems, and understand item trading market value.
The Cube is the central interface for upgrading and custom-rolling equipment stats. Understanding these mechanics prevents wasting rare resources.
1. Synthesis (The 9-to-1 Rule)
Combine 9 items of the same quality to receive 1 item of the next tier up (e.g., 9 Common items ➔ 1 Uncommon). Compare equipment quality multipliers on the Grades Page.
!WARNING
NoteQUOTE
If your Synthesis facility level is lower than the items you are merging, the output item's level can downgrade. Always verify facility level requirements before fusing high-level gear.
2. Alchemy Recycling
Use Alchemy to convert extra equipment into Gold and Cube EXP.
- Alchemy yields scale with Cube levels and passive Alchemy Rune multipliers. You can inspect runes on the Runes Database.
- Recycle gear from classes you do not play to accumulate Gold for skill tree and rune upgrades.
3. Socketing Decorations & Removal
Socket Gem shards (Emeralds, Topaz, Amethysts) to add custom stat lines to gear. For a catalog of all gem materials, browse the Materials Page.
!IMPORTANT
NoteQUOTE
Removing socketed decorations via Cube Removal destroys the materials used to slot them. Socket gems only on gear you plan to keep.
4. Item Market Economy
- Rarity does not always dictate value. Highly desired stat items (such as a Blessed Tome with optimal rolls) can out-value base Immortal items. Compare base weapons on the Weapons Catalog.
- Crafting materials (Soulstones, Gem fragments, Obsidian Shards) are in high demand and make up 50%+ of early gold building. Sell excess materials.
