Companion Pets Unlock Guide
A complete route for unlocking free pets, choosing when to farm them, avoiding tempo loss, and prioritizing passive bonuses.
Goal
Use this guide when planning pet unlocks. Pets are long-term account bonuses, and their passive effects are active once unlocked. You do not need to equip a pet for its passive bonus to matter.
Pet Farming Rule
Do not farm a pet just because the pet is good. Farm it when the stage is comfortable.
A good pet farm stage should:
If farming the pet destroys your main progression tempo, come back later.
Recommended Unlock Order
| Order | Pet | Requirement | Main value | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bat | Defeat 5,000 Bats | Common Chests and EXP | Farm early once Stage 1-7 or nearby stages are comfortable. |
| 2 | Dark Spirit | Defeat 5,000 Ghosts | Stage Boss Chest value | Farm when Act 3 stages are stable. |
| 3 | Watcher | Defeat 5,000 Giant Flies | Gold per Kill | Farm when Act 2 stages are stable. |
| 4 | Burning Skeleton | Defeat 5,000 Fire Elementals | Stage Boss Chest value | Delay if Normal spawn rate is too slow. |
| 5 | Blue Golem | Defeat 5,000 Hell Golems | Common Chest value | Delay until kill speed and spawn rate are reasonable. |
The order is a practical tempo route. If one stage is uncomfortable, skip it temporarily and return later.
Bat
Bat is usually the first target because EXP and Common Chest bonuses improve the rest of the account.
Farm Bat when:
If Bat takes several hours but the stage is stable, it can still be worth doing because the bonus helps future farming.
Dark Spirit
Dark Spirit supports boss chest farming. It becomes more attractive once you are farming Act 3 stages and starting to care about stage boss chest value.
Farm it when Ghost stages are stable and your team can clear without constant manual attention.
Watcher
Watcher improves gold income. Gold affects Rune Tree purchases, Cube progress, market upgrades, and long-term account speed.
Farm it when the Giant Fly stage is comfortable and you are not sacrificing too much EXP or chest income.
Burning Skeleton
Burning Skeleton is valuable, but it can be inefficient too early if spawn rates and kill speed are poor. If the Normal farm feels extremely slow, delay it until harder difficulties or better gear make the farm faster.
Blue Golem
Blue Golem helps Common Chest income, but like Burning Skeleton it may be better later if the farm is too slow on Normal.
Premium Pets
Premium DLC pets are optional. Treat them as convenience and tempo bonuses, not mandatory progression.
| Pet | Passive value |
|---|---|
| Dragon | Common Chest chance, Gold, and EXP. |
| Sword | EXP gain. |
| Butterfly | Gold per Kill. |
When To Stop A Pet Farm
