Stardust Sorcerer
The Sorcerer's problem is not damage, it is the chant. Every real spell asks you to stand still first. The Stardust line answers that directly: its own passive speeds you up while chanting, one talent lets you skip the chant entirely, and another shortens that talent's cooldown every time you cast.
Skill bar4 of the branch’s skills
- Stardust TorrentStaff
The sustained damage, and a talent extends it into a stronger stage.
- Stardust TempestStaff
Area denial that also cuts dodge distance — it makes the next spell land.
- Star ShockStaff
The panic button: it knocks back rather than kills, which is what a chanting class needs.
- Stardust EnergyStaff
Movement speed while chanting and Energy back on every Stardust hit — the branch's engine.
Talents that matter
Not a full tree — these are the points that change what the build does rather than adding a percentage to it. Fill the rest of the tree in whatever order your level allows.
- Stardust ArcanaSupreme Arcane
Skip the chant for extra Energy. This is the talent the build exists around.
- Stardust ReversalSupreme Arcane
Every cast shortens that skip's cooldown, so it is available per fight rather than per match.
- Chant GuardSupreme Arcane
Faster Stardust chanting and the first hit taken does not break it.
- Unending TorrentIllusion
Stardust Torrent guides into a stronger stage — the damage ceiling of the build.
- Flexible CastingHandy Technique
Movement while chanting, which is the difference between casting and being caught casting.
Affixes to roll for
In priority order. Affix rolls are random, so treat this as what to keep rather than what to expect.
- WiseOffensive
Magic damage, flat, on every spell in the build.
- EloquenceUtility
Chanting speed, and above a threshold the chant cannot be interrupted at all.
- VitalityUtility
Skipping chants costs extra Energy; maximum Energy is what pays for it.
Staff weaponshighest combat value
Pulled from the catalog by combat value, not picked by hand — a new staff shows up here on the next import.
How to play it
- Cast from cover on cooldown to keep Stardust Reversal ticking — the skip should be up before you need it.
- Tempest first when they are closing. It cuts their dodge, which is what makes Torrent land.
- Save the chant skip for the moment you are already caught, not to open faster.
- Star Shock is spacing, not damage. Use it to reset the range and start chanting again.
Don’t take this if
You fight in tight spaces. Every point here buys chant safety, and a corridor removes the distance that safety is worth.
