ShadowstrixDaggerOne-handed
Stealth Opener Shadowstrix
Dagger talents pay for one thing: leaving stealth with a weapon in someone's back. One makes that exit hit far harder, another makes every backstab a critical for a window afterward, and a third resets stealth outright on a kill. Chained, that is the build — open, kill, vanish, repeat.
Skill bar4 of the branch’s skills
- SneakDagger
The entry point. Everything in this build reads from being in stealth.
- Shadow StrikeDagger
Leaves a shadow and dashes — the opener that arrives before they can turn.
- Poison Crow MarkDagger, Dual Blades
Applies Healing Block, which is what stops a target being pulled out from under you.
- Smoke BombDagger
The exit when the kill does not land, and it blocks their interactions inside it.
Talents that matter6 trees back this branch
Not a full tree — these are the points that change what the build does rather than adding a percentage to it. Fill the rest of the tree in whatever order your level allows.
- Lurking BlowSneak Arcana
Leaving stealth unharmed with a Dagger sharply raises Physical Damage — this is the opener itself.
- Element of SurpriseSneak Arcana
All Dagger backstabs count as critical hits for a window after stealth ends.
- BloodthirstStealth Enhancement 1
A kill resets Sneak's cooldown and refills Energy — the reset that turns one opener into a chain.
- Shadow StrideSneak Arcana
Faster while stealthed and moving toward a target, which is how you reach the back.
- Ambush MomentumShadow Strike Enhancement
Shadow Strike raises Physical Damage after casting, layered under the stealth burst.
Affixes to roll for
In priority order. Affix rolls are random, so treat this as what to keep rather than what to expect.
- Headshot DamageOffensive
Critical damage, on a build whose talents guarantee the crit for you.
- PowerfulOffensive
Physical damage multiplies the one hit this build is entirely about.
- SwiftUtility
Faster while crouched and silent-walking — the movement the approach actually uses.
Dagger weaponshighest combat value
Pulled from the catalog by combat value, not picked by hand — a new dagger shows up here on the next import.
How to play it
- Never open from the front. Everything in this build is priced for a back, and priced badly for a face.
- Mark with Poison Crow before you commit if they have a healer — Healing Block first, damage second.
- If the opener does not kill, Smoke Bomb and leave. Re-entering stealth is cheaper than winning a straight fight.
- Chain kills. Bloodthirst resets Sneak, so the second target should be picked before the first one drops.
Don’t take this if
You cannot get the first hit. Against a group that holds together this build has no second plan — take Dual Blades, which does.
